NEWS. 09/2014 - THE IEEE STANDARDS ASSOCIATION ACKNOWLEDGES ENGINEER EDUARDO TOLCACHIR WITH A DIPLOMA OF RECOGNITION.
Due to the implementation of the C57.116-2014 Standard, Eng. Tolcachir was recognized for his "distinguished contributions" in the standardization of this guide.
(Villa Paez, Cordoba, September 2014).- The Executive Committee of the IEEE Standards Association, in occasion of the enactment of a new version of the C57.116-2014 Standard, presented a certificate of recognition for his contributions to TTE's Engineering & Technology Manager, Eng. Eduardo Tolcachir.
The C57.116-2014 Standard is an IEEE guide for transformers directly connected to generators. It reports on the selection and use considerations for power transformers and their auxiliary units. These considerations apply to hydroelectric and thermal power generating stations, and the different types of connections for power transformers and their potential performance problems under normal and abnormal conditions.
The IEEE-SA is a leading organization that develops and implements technologies and global standards for the electrical industry. These standards set the functionality, capacity and interoperability of a wide range of products and services in the electrical industry that transform how people live, work and communicate in everyday life.
Eng. Eduardo Tolcachir also played a fundamental role on the working group for setting the C57.154-2012 - IEEE Standard (for Design, Testing, and Application of Liquid-Immersed Distribution, Power, and Regulating Transformers Using High-Temperature Insulation Systems and Operating at Elevated Temperatures); a "sister" standard of IEC 60076-14. He is also currently working as a correspondent member of the working group "Wind Turbine P60076-16 Transformers".
Through Eng. Tolcachir's recognition, TTE demonstrates its commitment to play a leading role in the evolution of the electricity market collaborating with a main worldwide standards organization.
